The biggest difference between the DCG413B vs DCG416B is the use of DEWALT’s new Flexvolt technology.
Flexvolt technology offers 50% more power output while using one of DEWALT’s Flexvolt 20V/60V MAX Batteries. The extra power makes this angle grinder perfect for more power-demanding jobs.

The first thing you notice while holding the DCG418b is the improved grip. It is thinner and offers more grip and control. While working with potentially dangerous tools like angle grinders you want maximum safety. We find the DCG418b does a great job at that!

Since this is an “older” angle grinder the price of this power tool will be lower.
This angle grinder does not have the latest safety features like the DCG416 & DCG418.
The DeWALT DCG412B features a powerful 8.8 AMP motor with electronic speed control to maintain constant speed under load. The variable speed control dial allows the user to match the speed (690-1,440 ft./min.) to the application. The DCG412B also features less noise: at only 84dB, it is one of the quietest sanders in its class.

DEWALT DCG415B 20V MAX XR

The bigger brother of the DEWALT DCG413B and DCG412B is the DEWALT DCG415B. This angle grinder claims to have 40% more power than its predecessors.
This angle grinder is great for power-demanding grinding jobs. However, we think since the release of the DCG416B there is not really a need to buy this particular grinder anymore.
Why buy this angle grinder
We would say there is almost no case in which you do want to buy the DCG415B. Except if you already owned one in the past and you want to stick with XR battery technology for now.
Final Results
For this review, we choose the DeWALT DCG418B. This tool has in our eyes the best form factor and offers the best usability. Also since the price difference is so minor it’s worth spending the extra cash.
