The DCD796 is a great drill capable of completing all professional jobs. This drill is great for wood up to 40mm. And it is suitable for most “softer” materials.

Compared to the DCD996 the DCD796 will obviously be the cheaper option. This is great news if you’re in the market for a simple all-purpose drill.

The DCD996 features a powerful 10 AMP motor that maintains constant speed under load, and variable speed control to match the speed of the application. The DCD996 produces less noise and vibration than its competitor.

This is our favorite DEWALT hammer drill. The DCD999 is the latest hammer drill in the DEWALT line-up. After working with this tool for a while we noticed how much power it has compared to DEWALT’s previous hammer drills.
