The DEWALT DCD996b hammer drill is our second favorite hammer drill. This model is a bit older compared to the DCD999b. However, we believe it is still a relevant drill to this date.
If you are looking for a DEWALT hammer drill on a budget, this is probably the best option for you. It has a max. speed of 2250RPM and a powerful 2.5 AMP motor.

The stronger alternative to the DEWALT DCD996b and DCD999b is the DEWALT DCH293b. Drilling into dense materials like masonry or brick will be no problem with this cordless rotary hammer drill!
When power is what you’re after, then this is the best DEWALT hammer drill for you! With 1000 RPM and 3.5 Joules power output the DCH293b is ideal for making large holes in concrete and brick.

The DCH273b cordless hammer drill from DEWALT is a budget option. The drill has a high RPM and impact joules. The specs even come close to the DCH293b (DEWALT’s latest rotary hammer drill).
If you are not a tech fanatic, and always want the latest and greatest, we think this rotary hammer drill is a very valuable pick.

According to our expertsThis is the best DEWALT rotary hammer drill if you are on a budget. It offers very good value for money.
We like the D grip of this drill. In our opinion, it is more stable than a traditional grip.
Compared to other hammer drills on this list, the DEWALT DCH263B is a bit dated.
The only downside we can think of with the DCH263b is the cord that it needs in order to get power. If you don’t need the functionality of a cordless hammer drill this is by far the best DEWALT rotary hammer drill on the market.
1165 RPM and a max power of 300 Watts make this rotary hammer drill from DEWALT ideal for drilling holes, smashing tiles, and much more.
This drill uses SDS plus drill bits, which you can also buy from DEWALT. We really enjoyed working with this combination, and we are sure you will too!
